Hate Sex…”I Hate You but Damn, This Could Be Good!”

*Revised 9/11/2018 and added Piper and Alex’s Hate Sex scene!

I’ve had my third conversation lately regarding “hate-fucking.” Purely rhetorical discussions, as always…And of course I do NOT have a mental list of people I would hate-fuck…😂

In my 3 conversations I had to explain what hate-fucking is…

Basically, MY (semi-idealized) description is this: when two characters or people have a ton of negative energy built up between them or very strongly hate, dislike or are really pissed off with each other…if that energy MUTUALLY turns into MUTUALLY desired sex the result is that all the pent up emotions (on both or one side) is released in really passionate sex…

Maybe “make-up” sex is similar because all of the energy and emotion is there but people rationalize it as a good thing because it is a mending union.

In my mind, having sex with someone you don’t like or aren’t enthused about doesn’t count for a hate-fuck. There has to be some intensity, or a whole fucking bunch of intensity…

NOT that I think about hate-fucking often…Or maybe I’ve known some REALLY sexy people that are truly detestable but being the objective person that I am, I can recognize they may have skills or attributes apart from personality? 😏

Oddly, the scene from one of the Wayans’ brothers-directed Scary Movie comes to mind….Not truly a hate-fuck but there is scene where Marlon Wayans gets busy with a female ghoul/monster/demon thing and he can only keep doing it when she has a bag on her face. (She’s scary looking…Like horror movie scary, ok?)

I first started hearing about a super hot “hate-fuck” scene from Orange is the New Black. I’ll come back later and post a link. MAYBE. I’m a little hesitant to post some popular hate-sex scenes from OITNB because (completely apart from the show) there is a longstanding (mostly male) trope/fantasy/porny set-up where woman start out jello wrestling or “cat- fighting” and end up making out- usually in front of and for the enjoyment of the male spectators… And I’m not talking about something like that.

That often qualifies more as women performing same-sex acts as a spectacle for the men. I am not anti-porn at all. But I will fight the stereotypical expectations that I have SEEN men have in real life: men started to excitement and make sexual comments *hoping* to see some action when two women start arguing & fighting in public…That could be its own blog post!

***REVISED: I finally watched Orange is the New Black and I think it is a great scene. It didn’t strike *me* as being problematic since it isn’t as if these two women are strangers. Nope, these women have serious HISTORY together. They were long time partners and lovers punctuated by life-altering betrayals. Their feelings and history are complicated….

So here is Piper and Alex’s Hate Sex Scene. Enjoy!

There is another scene from Shameless (if you know me well, I’m kind of obsessed with that show & Gallavich, an EPIC male/male love subplot). Again, this is not solely a hate fuck but it probably qualifies. This scene beetween Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich is epic and begins a 7 season tortured relationship which is highly acclaimed for breaking gay male stereotypes on tv. (I did WARN you, I LOVE their story line).
So here is a worthy hate-fuck scene. These 2 characters have never had any attraction to each other and Ian is highly closeted. All we know about Mickey is that he is a thug/criminal/bully and complete asshole. He had just basically robbed the store where Ian works and stolen the shop owner’s gun. Ian, though he is a gentle, shy guy is having an affair with his boss, the shop owner, so he Ian decides to confront Mickey and get his lover’s gun back.

Epic hate-fuck (plus an awakening/ opportunity for uncontemplated sex between 2 guys who are closeted (ESPECIALLY  Mickey)).  Warning: Ian’s and Mickey ‘s relationship begins here and lasts years and it is a powerful love story inextricably linked with violence, assault and abuse of all kinds. It is not a model for any in real life. At the same time it becomes something fucked up but life-changing and beautiful. (*wipes tears from my face* Told you, obsessed.)

So, below, enjoy Gallavich’s epic hate-fuck and if you want to know more, check out the article from Thought Catalog below.

Enjoy!

Good sex is supposed to be something tender and loving—but not according to these people. For them, it involves hate, resentment, insults, and often extreme mutual physical abuse. (Found on AskReddit.) 1.

    • Absolutely… which is why I tried to mention CONSENT in my description. I don’t think that consent
can EVER be mentioned too often because so many people don’t understand it… But yeah, I could see “hate sex”
being used as an attempted defense for sexual assault…. 🙁🙁🙁

I honestly never thought of this as a ‘thing’, but it is quite different than say BSDM, or something like that where mostly the parties involved have a standing agreement. This is more organic…
Gives me something to think about : D
